I am a city-dwelling, culture-loving San Diegan who is fascinated by a good story, and I have loved writing my whole life. After working as a marriage and family therapist and health coach, I became a full-time writer when my daughter, Jude, was born. Now that she is 5 years old and off to kindergarten, I am an Activities Coordinator at a local nursing home, and continue writing on the side. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies, and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I love working with seniors, and consider it one of the great privileges of my life to be privy to so many fascinating and inspiring life stories.
I recently finished my first novel called Captive, a young-adult dystopian novel. Here is the first chapter, if you'd like to take a look, and free digital copies of the entire book are available here.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, the best man I’ve ever met, who loves and inspires me everyday.
We recently transitioned to the (almost) country life, where we spend our time chasing our five year old, growing vegetables, and making rustic reclaimed wood furniture. For more on that and to see my other blog, feel free to visit our furniture company, JLondon Furniture.
